Please join Solar Austin at the 29th Street Ballroom (Spiderhouse) on Wednesday, October 17th to hear members of the Local Solar Advisory Committee provide a preview of their forthcoming plan and recommendations for Austin’s solar future.
In April, the Austin City Council chartered the Local Solar Advisory Committee (LSAC) to examine and provide recommendations for Austin’s long-term goal for solar energy. After six months of work, the LSAC will be releasing their report this month and we want to make sure you stay informed at this critical point in the process.
The City Council recently took positive steps to accelerate solar energy growth in Austin by approving a $7.5 million budget for solar in fiscal year 2013. Now is the time to build on that momentum by ensuring this good step is a part of a bold long-term commitment that realizes solar’s tremendous energy, economic, and environmental potential for the benefit of all Austinites.
LSAC Committee Chair, Steve Wiese, Founder and Principal of Clean Energy Associates and Committee Member, Mark Begert, Executive VP and Director of Meridian Solar, will join us for the discussion.
We hope to see you there! Happy hour starts at 6pm and the program will start at 7pm.
